Our roots are from the new wave of housing associations created in the 1960s, starting from a growing social consciousness around housing and homelessness.

In October 1963, the combined dream of 32 young professionals to end homelessness, and a total investment of £64, created the foundation for what is now a 105,000-home social business.

We set out to provide a quality, affordable place to live for the most vulnerable in society, and today more than 250,000 people make their homes with us, across the North West and South East of England.
